It’s about working IN. Sustainable practice begins with patience, dedication and awareness to alignment, technique and breath. Every person can cultivate a physical and mindful practice that nourishes, supports and heals body and mind through all the phases of life.

Classes include mindful movement through Vinyasa, Restorative, Meditation and Therapeutics.

Workshops & Trainings:

Foundations of Yoga Therapy
This track gives students in-depth skills to teach yoga as a vehicle for total wellness. Along with offering yoga classes with a focus on health and healing to the general public, Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy (KSIYT) graduates teach yoga-based wellness programs in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, schools, and yoga studios.

Pranayama, Mudra and Subtle Anatomy
This module takes its starting point from the introduction to pranayama and subtle anatomy laid out in Foundations of Yoga Therapy Parts 1 and 2 and explores pranayama and the realm of subtle anatomy with more depth and breadth. You learn to navigate the nadis, chakras, and prana vayus of the body, as well as how to incorporate mudras in your yoga therapy consults.

This course is a comprehensive exploration of physical asana as it relates to the practice of yoga therapy. With instruction in concepts of motion as well as advanced study of anatomy and physiology.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
8-week series

MBSR is the most scientifically researched and utilized mindfulness program in the world. This intensive program combines mindfulness meditation, movement, body-awareness practices and group processing with practical education about stress physiology. MBSR helps participants relate differently to stresses in their lives and offers the opportunity to cultivate resilience and emotional intelligence. The effects of MBSR is supported by 40 years of research indicating that those who complete the course decrease acute and chronic stress, alleviate physical and mental suffering and achieve a greater sense of awareness and enthusiasm for life.
